State Police to Shut Down PA Instant Check System (PICS)
If you are planning to purchase a firearm this month and are a Pennsylvania resident you may want to be aware of the following information and plan accordingly.No Firearms Purchases for 3 Days The PICS system will shut down at 10 p.m. Saturday, May 19 and remain down until Tuesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. Gun purchases and background checks will be temporairly restricted during that time.
